Im not sure what I did correctly but I did finally get through activation, download of firmware, and diagnosis. There are a few more steps to read codes, but theres a full code page that looks to be printable to PDF, which is nice. I do miss the history tab.
When paired with the correct iOBD2 wifi adaptor, this app works great. You can read and clear faults in ANY control unit as well as read data streams, including sensors and switches (soft top position sensors for example). The app works with any BMW from E46 all the way to the newest F30.
I work for BMW and I use it all the time to quickly get info or clear a fault.
It was working fine on till I get this new update it Have not been working since please fix this problem soon as possible
Some bad moments
Deutsch z.B. geht nicht. German translatation only in English.
Testet on iPhone 6s, iPad Pro and iPhone 6 with iOS 9.3.5.
The App doesnt work. Activation was ok but no connection to original Xtool iOBD2 BMW WIFI Dongle anymore. No answer from Xtool.
Last working Version was 1.4.2
Its the same with the special VAG Tool from iOBD2 they just want your money for a not working APP.
Dont buy the Dongle or In App it just to get money for nothing. Typical chinese method.
4.0にバージョンアップ後から全く使えなくなりました。
以前からBluetoothもしくはwifiでどちらも接続しにくく使いにくかったのですが、なんとか使えてました。
ver.4.0に於いてはwifiもbluetoothのどちらもiobd2とエラーが出て繋がりませんでした。
今回のバージョンアップでも試してみましたが、起動してアクティベートは出来ますが、診断の画面に切り替えるとシャットダウンし、全く使えません。
iPhone・iPad共にアプリを入れ直しても診断画面でシャットダウンします。
早急に対処して欲しい。
もしくはバージョンダウンさせていただきたい。
App no longer works like it used to and is very flakey. I used to be able to read DTC codes for my bmw e46, but no longer. Please fix asap.
This little tool worked great until they updated the program. New update will not connect to any of my BMW cars. Would not use or buy product until they fix this issue.
Since April 27, 2016 (V3.0 release) I have emailed the two email addresses on the developer site numerous times, with no response. The contact form on the website does not work. So here is my blanket attempt to get some response from XTooltech.
I have been able to connect one time with version 4.0, and never since. I have only been able to connect a few times since V3.0 was released. Also, the standard OBD2 app has never once connected properly
App crashes every time when downloading the language pack while not on Wifi. On Wifi it seems to work fine.
Activate seems to work fine every time.
Diagnosis: I connected the first time I used V4.0. Every time since (maybe 30-40 attempts) I have gotten "Bluetooth connection failed!" error. I have reset BT connection. I have uninstalled/reinstalled. I have changed the order in which I connect, open app, etc.
I am tired of waiting for a solution (and always hoping the new version fixes the issue.) I can not understand how an older version of an app can be "updated" and lose the key function of a reliable connection.
Please revert to V1.5 (or create a separate new version app so they both exist if necessary.)
